Meet Makayla - Your Home Center Manager
Makayla Cortez has called Austin home since she was a year old, growing up in the city’s south side after being born in Fredericksburg, TX. She entered property management at 18, quickly advancing to assistant manager of a large Austin community. Armed with a Texas real-estate license (2024) and a passion for steady, people-focused work, she now leads the Home Center at Village Farm Tiny Home Community.

Why She Loves Village Farm
“Tiny Homes, Big Living” amenities—spacious common areas and community events you won’t find in typical neighborhoods.
On-site farmers markets and garden plots that let residents grow and share fresh produce.
The Sedona floor plan, praised for its open living room, generous kitchen, and oversized loft.
Life Beyond the Home Center
When Makayla isn’t matching buyers with the right tiny home, she’s outdoors—hiking, kayaking, and exploring new Austin restaurants with her three dogs: a 7-year-old Australian Shepherd, a 9-year-old Husky, and a lively 7-month-old Aussie-Husky mix puppy.
